Iran says Pakistan-Turkiye-Saudi security pact is no cause for concern
Tehran says the agreement reflects a regional shift towards relying on local capabilities rather than outside powers.
Iran says it does not view the new security pact between Pakistan, Turkiye and Saudi Arabia as an arrangement directed against Tehran.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said on Monday that the agreement reflected a change in the way regional countries approach security.
According to Baghaei, the participating states are placing greater reliance on their own capabilities instead of outside powers.
He said regional plans have a better chance of supporting stability when they are comprehensive, inclusive and grounded in the area’s geopolitical and historical realities.
