Shahid Afridi, the uncrowned king of cricket is discussing Kashmir again and his statements are being manipulated. The journey initiated when he addressed students at the British parliament. The British conservative politician Rehman Chishti thanked Shahid Afridi in a tweet!
Great to welcome to Parliament @HouseofCommons @SAfridiOfficial one of world’s best all round cricketers former captain of Pakistan🇵🇰 @TheRealPCB & @hantscricket player. Delighted to hear about his @SAFoundationN & introduce him to our DIFID 🇬🇧 Secretary of State @PennyMordaunt pic.twitter.com/aycjDRLaW0

While answering a question about Kashmir, he stated that:
I say Pakistan doesn’t want Kashmir. Don’t give it to India either. Let Kashmir be independent. At least humanity will be alive. Let people not die…Pakistan doesn’t want Kashmir… It can’t even manage its four provinces…What is the big thing is insaaniyat(humanity). People who are dying there, it is painful. Any death, be it from any community, is painful
The video is being shared on social media and people are reacting to it! Indian media is once again omitting the details of the statement and highlighting a single phrase of the sentence. Here is the complete video:
The story of Shahid Afridi’s statement about Kashmir and the sufferings of Kashmiri people go back to 2016. In April he tweeted,
There is an “appalling and worrisome situation” in Kashmir and the UN should intervene.
Prior to this statement, Shahid Afridi claimed that majority of Kashmiri fans supports Pakistani cricketers and Indian media went mad over this claim.
This Is What Indian Media Is Doing?
Indian media is known for its hateful speeches, over-sensitizing the news, creating a false hype, and being obnoxious in general and they are doing just that!

Focus on the headline of the news, they totally missed the concept of the issued statement. Indian media is calling a personal opinion of a celebrity as an embarrassment for Pakistan.

India tops the list of fake news propagation and irresponsible journalism so we cannot value their statement. The cricketer turned philanthropist has millions of follower who are defending him on social media.
Clarification By Shahid Afridi
Shahid Afridi clarified the whole scenario on his Twitter account as he being bashed by the media, politicians, and aam-awaam!
My comments are being misconstrued by Indian media! I'm passionate about my country and greatly value the struggles of Kashmiris. Humanity must prevail and they should get their rights.

He pointed out the obvious too, with saying that the clip is incomplete.
My clip is incomplete & out of context as what I said before that is missing.Kashmir is unresolved dispute & under brutal Indian occupation. It must be resolved as per UN resolution. Myself along with every Pakistani support Kashmiri freedom struggle. Kashmir belongs to Pakistan.

Former Foreign Minister Khwaja Asif’s Reaction
Khwaja Asif (PMNL) reacted to the statement of Shahid Afridi and said he has sympathies for Shahid Afridi.

PM AJK’s Remarks
Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider slammed Shahid Afridi for his insensitive remarks.
“It seems that Afridi wants to play in the Indian Premier League and is issuing such statements owing to that.”
He added that Kashmir is the matter of life and death for Pakistanis and Afridi should not play with the emotions of Kashmiri.
There is an ongoing stream of bashing against the statement of Afridi and he is being criticized on social platforms and TV screen.
