People are excited to witness the ceremony initiating the journey of “Naya Pakistan”.  There were speculation regarding the attendees of this sought after event. Media claimed that Aamir Khan will be attending the ceremony. this opportunity was denied to us after Aamir Khan excused himself due to his busy schedule.

First we got our hopes high!

Why you do this to us!

Earlier last week, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced the guest list, stating that a few Indian cricketers including Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar and Navjot Sidhu were invited to the event.

Navjot Singh Sidhu is HERE!

Former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu was issued a 14-day visa for Pakistan by the High Commission in New Delhi so that he could attend the oath taking ceremony of Imran Khan. He is in Pakistan and We are really excited about it! Kapil Dev and Sunil Gavaskar have expressed deep regret for not being able to attend the oath taking ceremony due to former engagements. Sunil Gavaskar will be in England, attending a test match August 18. He spoke to Imran Khan and wished him the best of luck.

Imran Khan finalized the venue

Imran Khan set first record of ‘Naya Pakistan’

The guests will be served with tea and biscuits hence ridding the national exchequer from the unnecessary expenditure it goes through as every new tenure starts. It scares me to imagine how much money we could have saved if politicians just ate like normal people and each event didn’t have to bankrupt the national treasury. Like PTI loves to say “ Tabdeeli agai hai”.

Imran Khan – An example of simplicity

Not just in terms of the events décor, food and preparation, Khan has decided to dress simple too. But with Khan Sahab’s ruggedly handsome looks, who cares what he wears, he’ll always be the show stopper.  Sorry Justin! A few sources close to Khan say that the PTI chief may wear a sherwani, following the tradition of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, but he will definitely break the tradition of getting a new expensive one stitched just for oath as the premier. After 22 years of struggle, Imran Khan is ready to bring a positive change in Pakistani politics and we are so excited for tomorrow!
