Let’s See The Buzz Huawei Created This Year!

Huawei has gained a positive feedback with its P series, but Nova series has got a more serious response. Users and consumers were excited to hear about the new Huawei Nova 3 and Huawei Nova 3i for quite some time now. Both of them boast octa-core processors of Hisilicon Kirin 970 and 710 chipsets. Running Android 8.1, both have same 6.3″ screen size and resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels (~409 PPI), the 128 GB storage space is identical as well. The display is impressive as Huawei put much thought in the design. Aluminum frame and curved edges give the smartphone a great look along with glass front and back. Despite that Nova 3 is 7.3mm thick and Nova 3i is 7.6mm thick, aluminum frame provides a perfectly balanced weight.

They look quite similar too, but there are some differences when comparing side-by-side. Nova 3 has 6 GB RAM while Nova 3i stands second with 4 GB RAM. Nova 3 has 16+24 megapixel rear and 24-megapixel front camera while Nova 3i lacks a 24 megapixel atthe rear. Both have 2-megapixel depth sensor which helps with the AI integration during photography.

Huawei has packed many sensors into these smartphones, but the key to Nova’s success is AI. The cameras have phase detection autofocus capability as well as image enhancing AI technology. It means that you can improve your picture according to the scenery at musical night or beach. In contrast to AR emoji, you can use 3D Qmoji technology also which allows an animated expression of yourself. Face unlock technology is also integrated into Huawei Nova 3.

Both smartphones have fairly decent battery power with Nova three rated at 3750 mAh and Nova 3i at 3340 mAh. Huawei’s smartphones are famous for long-lasting battery power, and they made sure it stays that way. Reviews also prove this by rating them both 8 points out of 10 in regards to battery life (source). Newest Nova 3 had to compete with some of the big boys as well. Mid-range smartphones like OnePlus 6, LG G7+ and Galaxy A8 star were its competitors.

Huawei’s customers are also delighted with both versions as seen through online surveys. Any average customers who need above-average performance specs and the camera are happy with what Huawei has to offer. Although there are mixed views, a large number of users rank Nova on top.
