Ingredients

  1. Half an avocado
  2. 2 tbs castor oil
  3. 3 tbs honey (preferably organic)
  4. 1 egg
Optional: essential oils like lavender or rosemary can be used to combat the smell of egg. Blend all the ingredients together and apply on damp hair. Cover hair using a shower cap. You need to leave this mask on for 2 to 4 hours and then wash and condition as per your regular routine. Try to use this mask at least twice a week for best results.

Strawberry lemon hair masks

For those who suffer from oily hair, this strawberry lemon mask is the ultimate solution. The essence from strawberries helps regulate the production of sebum and also helps in removing excessive oil. Lemon extracts also help combat excessive oil and act as a cleaning agent. Lemon also helps give your hair strands shine.

Ingredients

  1. 1 kg strawberries
  2. Half a cup lemon juice
Blend the strawberries and sieve out the seeds. Add the lemon juice to the strawberry puree and mix well. Store in an air tight container and make sure you keep it refrigerated. This mixture will last you for up to two weeks. 15 minutes before showering, rub 8-12 tbs of the mixture on you scalp and then wash and condition as per your routine.   2. ½ cup full fat mayonnaise
  3. 5 tbs organic honey
Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Heat for 30 seconds in the microwave before applying.
