Ehsan Mani is selected as the new chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)replacing Najam Sethi. Prime Minister Imran Khan, also the patron of the PCB, has taken the decision after the resignation of Najam Sethi. In a tweet, Imran Khan said “I have appointed Ehsan Mani as Chairman PCB. He brings vast and valuable experience to the job. He represented PCB in the ICC; was Treasurer ICC for 3 yrs and then headed the ICC for another 3 yrs”.

Why Ehsan Mani?

Ehsan Mani is not a new face when it comes to cricket world. His anti-politics approach is the reason he was not in limelight but he is a prominent member if International Cricket Council (ICC).

Hope for PCB!

The experience of newly appointed chairman will positively affect the performance of Pakistan Cricket Board. Though Najam Sethi did a great job bringing international cricket back to Pakistan and initiating  successful series, Pakistan Super League (PSL), there is a need to do more! There is a need to improve the structure of the organization and deal with the internal crisis such as nepotism! While talking to Dawn News, he said that he is focused on improving domestic cricket. Considering the success story of Fakhar Zaman, we can say that Pakistan is blessed with talented youth and new face who is focused on bringing national cricket to unmatched heights can just be the solution we needed!
